Daredevil fundraisers are being urged to throw themselves out of a plane to help raise money for a hospice.
St Luke’s hospice is offering people the chance to take part in their skydive fundraising event and raise money for charity.
Last year, 60 people took part in the jump and raised more than £47,000, which was enough to pay for 783 home visits for patients from the Hospice at Home team.
Sarah Elizabeth Cartin, 24, who will be taking the plunge this year, said: "When I saw the skydive event on their website, I knew I wanted to do something different, exciting and something that would challenge me.
“It took me about a day to decided if I should go ahead with the skydive. I am immensely excited and only had a slight tinge of nerves when I watched some skydives online.”
Those interested in taking part in this year’s jump, which will take place on April 26 at Hinton Airfield, have until February 14 to sign up.
There is a non-refundable deposit of £50 and if you raise £350 through sponsorship the hospice will cover the cost of your skydive.
To sign up people can go to www.stlukes-hospice.org/skydive or call 020 8382 8063.
