Harrow Times: Blitz team get banner on rubbish lorries Blitz team get banner on rubbish lorries

New posters highlighting the work of council blitz teams who are cleaning up the borough have gone up on the side of rubbish trucks.

Harrow Borough Council announced it would be spending £500,000 on cleaning up the borough in October, and part of that money is to be on teams to blitz litter hotspots and support volunteer initiatives.

This week the borough’s fleet of bin lorries have been pasted with the new banners to introduce the blitz team to the whole area.

I wonder how much Council tax payers money has been spent on this ?

I would rather have money sent on people rather than adverts on the side of lorries

We are experiencing elected mayor style council administration at present where anything is possible - what a political situation!

Most the rubbish being dumped is being dumped by the same people, daily in the same place. How hard can it be to just catch this people???

Every couple of days i'm reporting rubbish dumped outside my house to Harrow council. They just spend money wastefully on picking up (which they are actually very efficient at) but why not just make some effort to catch these people??
