A cabinet minister visited a religious university for a question and answer session about her role in government.
Theresa Villiers MP, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, visited the World Sikh University in Pinner Road, North Harrow.
The institution was founded in 1997 and was the first Sikh University to be established in Europe and the visit was organised with the help of parliamentary candidate for Harrow West Hannah David.
She said: “It’s always a pleasure to give local people the opportunity to meet the individuals who hold key posts within government. It gives them a chance to makes themselves heard and that’s what democracy is all about.
“Theresa was asked some very pertinent questions and I was told by the students afterwards, that they were very satisfied with the answers they received.”
