There was dancing, music and drama when members of the Tamil community came together for a traditional harvest celebration.
Young members of borough’s Tamil community performed for the Mayor of Harrow Cllr Nana Asante, council leader Cllr Susan Hall, the public and councillors of all parties when Harrow Borough Council’s civic centre hosted the Thai Pongal harvest festival on Saturday.
The family celebration held on Saturday evening takes place every year to honour the sun in the hope of a bountiful harvest in the year ahead.
