Pupils were treated to a visit from an award winning author to inspire the writers of tomorrow.

Young adult novelist Bali Rai visited the North London Collegiate School in Cannons Drive, Edgware, to talk to pupils from Years 6 to 9.

Mr Rai has written seven books, with some focusing on places he knows well, including his home town of Leicester.

During his visit to the school library he spoke about his work and encouraged pupils to do more creative writing.
