A school has been selected as one of the first in the country to take part in a new scheme to inspire the engineers of the future.
Kingsbury High School has been chosen to take part in the Elite Engineering Programme and will receive £3,000 of Lego Education resources.
The school applied for the scheme with a video entry as part of a national competition and is one of only 25 to be chosen to take part.
The programme aims to reignite the UK’s place as a world leader in engineering and to inspire school pupils to consider a career in the sector.
Teacher Roshan Bhuwa said: "Being one of 25 schools in the country to be selected to take part in the EEP program is a fantastic achievement for Kingsbury High School.
“Universities are currently not producing enough engineering graduates to satisfy demand and often there are vacant positions left in industry.
“By winning access to over £3000 worth of equipment, we hope to inspire Kingsbury High School students to take up a future in science, technology, engineering and maths in order to help produce the forward thinkers and innovators of tomorrow."
