School pupils who held a quiz to help the victims of a typhoon in the Philippines raised more than £2,000.
Kingsbury High School invited parents, pupils, staff and the community to take part in the quiz evening which also included dance and music performances and a raffle prize draw.
The most sought after prize was four tickets to the Saracens versus Harlequins rugby union match at Wembley Stadium, donated by the club to the school’s appeal.
The evening earlier this month raised a total of £2,112.15 for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Philippines Typhoon Appeal.
Pastoral curriculum leader Ms Purtill said “It was amazing to see our community come together to help support the Philippines.
"It highlighted to us, as a school, how much we can achieve working together with our Kingsbury community.
“Our Sixth Form worked tirelessly to ensure the evening was a success and it was great to see their hard work pay such dividends.”
