Harrow has the highest uptake of any borough in London for providing childcare to low income families.
Figures recently released shows nine out of every ten eligible two-year-olds in Harrow are benefiting from free childcare.
According to the Department of Work and Pensions in September this year Harrow had 371 two-year-old children eligible for government-funded childcare.
Of that 331 of the children’s parents were taking up the offer which is the highest rate in London.
Leader of Harrow Borough Council Susan Hall said the council were proud to say that it was providing high quality, free childcare to almost every two-year-old who is entitled to it.
