School helps take part in charity's national campaign video
A school has helped a national campaign create a new film to help children around the world get an education.
The pupils from Kingsbury High School helped produce the video for the Send My Friend to School campaign earlier this month.
The crew filmed children with disabilities from the Village School, in Bacon Lane, working alongside others from Kinsbury High during a normal day of classes.
Kinjal Mileche, 12, said: “It is important to take part in days like these because we’re helping other children all around the world get an education and a better life.
“I’m really excited that the film will be shown around the UK – people might get inspired and help us.”
Shivani Doshi, 13, said: “I feel passionate about Send My Friend to School, because I am in an environment where it is easy to forget about the importance of education.
“The campaign is reminder to me that I should not disrupt my learning as 57 million children do not get an education.”
The campaign has a different theme each year and aims to make sure all children worldwide get a quality primary education as promised by world leaders in 2000.
The film will be shown to more than 6,000 school children around the country from February next year onwards.
