A man charged in connection with an incident during which shots were fired at police officers will make a plea in the New Year.

David Rhoden, 28, from Flowers Close, Neasden, has been charged with kidnap, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and attempted murder.

Police tried to stop a car near junction four of the M1 at approximately 12pm on Saturday, November 16.

They chased the vehicle into Broadhurst Avenue in Edgware, where two men got out.
Shots were fired at police officers but no one was injured.

A third man, who is believed to have been kidnapped, was found inside the vehicle. He was not injured.

Mr Rhoden’s case has been adjourned until he appears at St Albans Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on February 4.

Clayton McKenzie, 35, from High Street in Harlesden, has also been charged with kidnap and is due to appear at the same court on the same day.
