Cancer charity Macmillan brings mobile information and support service to St John's Road Harrow
5:20pm Friday 30th August 2013 in News
Free and confidential advice about cancer will be available when a national cancer charity visits Harrow next week.
Macmillan will be bringing its green mobile information and support bus to St John's Road on Tuesday between 10am and 4pm.
The bus will be parked facing Station Road and Debenhams, and staff will be able to give support and information about the disease.
The service's information specialist Tracy Neill said: “No one should face cancer alone and a service such as ours means support is available nearby.
“We visit towns and city centres across the south east and we’re here for people who have had a cancer diagnosis, carers, friends or anyone with worries, questions or concerns. The service is free, confidential and no appointment is necessary – just step on board.”
Anyone who is unable to visit the service but needs information about cancer can call Macmillan free on 0808 808 00 00 from Monday to Friday between 9am and 8pm or visit www.macmillan.org.uk
