Hundreds of people enjoyed an annual two-day horticultural and family festival during the bank holiday weekend.

Families flocked to Harrow Museum and Heritage Centre, in Pinner View, Headstone, for the annual Harrow in Leaf horticultural show and fun day.

At the two-day event, gardening enthusiasts enjoyed an exhibition marquee with displays of fruits, vegetables, flowers, crafts, paintings, ciders and wines all made by people from in and around Harrow.

There was also a petting zoo, fairground rides and a bouncy castle enjoyed by visitors as well as a performance from The Franklin Street New Orleans Jazz Band.

Harrow in Leaf membership secretary Brian Vaughan said: “It was a really good day and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.

“There was a really good atmosphere and people were really interested in all the displays there.

“The weather was on our side and it was great to see so many people coming down to enjoy the event.”

The event, which is now in its ninth year, has been run by horticultural group Harrow in Leaf after the Harrow Show stopped in 2004.
