Call for landlords in Harrow to take advantage of empty property grants
Money is now available for landlords to bring homes in disrepair back into use and provide housing stock for the borough.
Harrow Borough Council has grants available to go towards repairing empty houses or flats to bring them back into use.
The council’s empty property grants team will be able to provide money to landlords updating kitchens or installing boilers.
There will be larger grants available to repair homes which have been empty for more than five years.
The council says it has more than 5,000 people on its waiting list and the borough as a whole has one of the smallest housing stocks in London.
It is hoped the grants scheme will help meeting the growing demand for housing in the borough.
