Spooky goings on at Harrow libraries
Children were given a spooky treat this week at a creepy library event to encourage young people to read.
Parents with children aged five to ten were told ghost stories and made their own skeletons at Kenton Library, in Kenton Lane yesterday.
The day’s events were part of Harrow Borough Council’s library events based on the 'creepy house' theme throughout the school summer holidays.
The event at Kenton Library is just one of many which are taking place at libraries across the borough including the summer reading challenge.
Twelve to 15-year-olds are given the task of reading six books based on a 'Creepy House' theme for the chance of winning a range reading prizes.
