Firms given chance to bid for Harrow Borough Council housing contracts
Businesses are being given the chance to bid for contracts as part of a programme to improve council houses.
Harrow Borough Council is calling on firms to tender for contracts as part of the authority’s housing repair’s programme.
Firms can bid for contracts for work which includes upgrading windows, doors, roofs and communal areas in hundreds of council properties.
Cabinet member for housing councillor Nizam Ismail said: “With a major programme of works coming up, this is a great opportunity for us to engage with local firms, which provide job opportunities for local people.
“We have some great companies in Harrow and it is important that everyone does their bit to ensure the borough’s economy continues to thrive.”
