Shock after 14-year-old stabbed in back in Antoneys Close, Pinner
Neighbours in a Pinner street are in shock this morning after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the back there yesterday evening.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Antoneys Close at 6.11pm last night.
The teenager was found with a wound to his lower back and was taken by London Air Ambulance to hospital where he is in a stable condition.
Jean Jemmer, 76, who lives in the quiet residential road, said: “I was very worried last night because I didn’t know what had happened. It is frightening to have something like that happen so close.
“I have lived here for 18 years and there has never been anything as serious as this happen before.”
Michael Delaney, 65, who also lives near the scene of the incident, said: “It’s just shocking really. At first I thought there was some sort of accident on the main road.
“There were so many police around and I saw the helicopter later on. This is a very quiet little road and there’s never any sort of trouble like this around, you just don't expect it."
A police dog unit and police helicopter assisted the police responce at the scene. No arrests have been made.
