West Harrow community choir raises money at first charity concert
An international singer who set up a community choir in Harrow raised more than £350 with its first major charity event.
Victoria Simmonds, who comes from Harrow, founded a community choir in January 2012, and performed at St Peter's Church, West Harrow last week in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The performance was a farewell concert for Ms Simmonds as she hands the choir over to new leader Sarah Stroh.
The opera singer appeared on BBC4 in the British Premiere of the award winning “Written on Skin” by George Benjamin form the Royal Opera House.
