Hatfield man Brian Moore charged in connection with attack outside Shanakee Pub in Wealdstone
A man has been charged in connection with a hammer attack which left a man with a fractured skull.
Brian Moore, 31, of Lemsford Road, Hatfield, was charged yesterday with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
CCTV footage of the assault outside the Shanakee Pub in High Street, Wealdstone, in February, was shown on the BBC’s Crimewatch last month.
The footage showed a man having an argument with a group of people at a birthday party.
After the dispute the man was seen leaving the pub only to return a few minutes later.
A scuffle took place during which the man pulled out a hammer, hitting one man over the head.
The victim was knocked unconscious straight away and suffered a fractured skull. The man with the hammer walked away.
