Grimsdyke, Whitefriars and Priestmead schools win librarian for a day as part of World Book Day

Three primary schools in Harrow won a librarian for a day as part of a global celebration of reading.

Grimsdyke, Whitefriars and Priestmead schools won the chance to have their own librarian for the day in a competition by Harrow Borough Council’s library service to celebrate World Book Day.

Up to 1,000 children received a visit and were read stories and played games as part of the celebrations on Thursday March 7.

Harrow’s school library service also visited schools around the borough throughout the week.
