2:30pm Saturday 9th March 2013 in News By Jaber Mohamed
Harrow Borough Council will be waiving road closure fees for a day in June so residents can get to know their neighbours better by holding a street party of a picnic.
The Harrow community lunch will take place on Sunday June 2 as part of the national Big Lunch event.
Harrow Council Leader, Cllr Thaya Idaikkadar, hopes this will help promote community spirit.

On a related point, to give you a flavour of the cultural Marxism being used to close down discussion.
At the West Harrow by-election count I was seated next to a young Labour supporter. I was chatting to the counters, before counting started and we wre discussing North Korea.
I made an off the cuff statement that the word Pyongyang sounds like the noise made when you drop a tray of cutlery. A play on words.
The person to my left then said "I think that's a racist comment"
When I asked how so, her answe was "It just is"
When pressed for a proper answer, rather than "it just is", she admitted that it wasn't really and that it was just a play on words.
My point to her was that this cultural Marxism actually creates divisions and that until this stops, the divisions will continue. I also said tha tthere are thiose who want to keep these divisions alive as otherwise they are out of a job, pretending that they are "anti-racists".
No-one else "took offence" at what was a wholly innocent play on words. I saw no point on continuing a circular and pointless argument with someone brainwashed into a programmed response.
After a few minutes, she apologised, that on reflection it wasn't racist after all.
The point is that people are being stignatized and bullied to the extent that we are frightened to say, do or think anything.
She did not expect me to respond. It was considered that I would roll-over to her self-considered superior morality. So superior do the swivel-eyed Marxists and Stalinists consider themselves, that anyone not agreeing or kowtowing must be a swivel-eyed Nazi. They are not used to being challenged and tend to either crumble or resport to name calling.
The more we roll-over and apologise for not being an automaton, the worse it will get. I have a provably far better reputation across the community that the race-warriors. They now tend to leave me well alone.

Who does Great Leader Idiakkadar think he is, bestowing these “great privileges” on us the lumpen masses???? Kim Jong-Un, or perhaps Robert Mugabe??
We’ve had our taxes hiked, the spectre of yet more business and custom destroying fines and penalties. We cannot afford the Bread, but Great Leader Cllr Mugabe wants go give us circuses.
