Harrow Borough Council plans to expands nine school to create hundreds of reception places

Harrow Borough Council has received more than £14million funding to expand schools to deal with a shortage of places.
The borough will receive £14,692,131 from the Government over the next two years, £8.8m more than the council’s assumed budget based on previous funding allocations.
The money will go towardsthe council’s school expansion project, which is designed to meet the a 32 per cent rise in the number of children needing school places between 2001 and 2011.
Nine schools on seven sites have already been identified for expansion in the first phase of the programme, including Cedars Manor School, Glebe Primary School and Marlborough Primary School.
