Customers at a South Harrow supermarket  have raised £500 for young homeless people living in the borough.

Shoppers at Waitrose in Northolt Road raised the money for the young people's service of Harrow Churches Housing Association.

A cheque was handed over this week to assistant service manager, Ophelia Comrie, and Jack, 19, who is living in accommodation provided by the charity.

The housing association has 11 homes in the borough for vulnerable young people aged between 18 and 24.
