A first aid charity is urging people to learn life-saving skills as part of an emergency volunteer scheme.

St John Ambulance will give people free medical training which covers treating life-threatening injuries, giving CPR and using a defibrillator to deliver and electric shock to the heart.

An information evening, to find out more about becoming a community first fesponder, will be held on Wednesday March 13 at the charity’s regional office in York Street, Marylebone.

To become a first responder people must attend four, full day training sessions which will be held over four weekends starting on Saturday March 23.

The training will take place at the Harrow St John Ambulance office in Woodlands open space car park off Pinner Road, in North Harrow.
