Revamp of St Ann's Road begins on Monday
Work to regenerate St Ann’s Road in Harrow town centre will begin on Monday.
Harrow Borough Council hopes the £2million revamp will attract more businesses and shoppers to the town centre.
The project will see the layout of St Ann’s Road redesigned with high quality paving, seating areas and a less cluttered layout.
In preparation for the planned improvements 14 trees have been removed and replaced with 20 as part of the plans.
The development hopes to introduce ‘café culture’ to the area upon its completion in November.
A disused police kiosk and several BT phone booths will also be taken away.
The project has been developed by Harrow council and Design for London in partnership with award-winning architects firm David Kohn.
