Supermarket chain Morrisons to open a flagship 'store of the future' at Trident Point

Supermarket firm Morrisons says its new store at Trident Point will be opening ‘in the near future’.

It will be one of its ‘store of the future’ supermarkets which offer more than 450 types of fruits and vegetables.

Earlier this week the Bradford-based retailer purchased 49 stores from the failed film rental chain Blockbusters to build a new convenience store franchise called ‘Morrisons M’.

Its old news, the store is already built and opens next month. Trident Point is what most people know as Neptune Point

Opening at 9 am on 11th March I believe - I'm particularly pleased as "When is Morrisons going to open" is the question I have been asked most regularly as a local councillor.

Does anyone else see the irony in this development having its name changed to Trident Point? Wasn't Project TRIDENT set up by the met police to deal with gun and knife crime?
