A 15-year-old from Northwood has been chosen to represent England in a forthcoming European competition.

Vicki Oyesola, of Eastcote, who currently trains with the Mavericks Youth Squad and the Academy Netball Club in Ealing, will be part of the under-17 England Netball squad at the Netball Europe Championships in Malta in March.

The St Helen’s School pupil has represented Hillingdon at the Youth Games for the past five years and recently attended the National Talent Orientation Camp organised by the Youth Sports Trust.

Headteacher Dr Mary Short  said: “We are delighted to hear Vicki’s news.

“This is a fantastic achievement and we wish her and the squad every success at the forthcoming championships.”
