Two teenagers from Wembley have been sentenced after pleading guilty to burglary.

On Wednesday the 15-year-old and 13-year-old appeared at Willesden Youth Court, where they were each given an eight-month referral order and ordered to pay £30 costs.

On October 29 last year police were called to reports of a burglary in Eton Avenue, Wembley, after a neighbour had seen a group of suspicious men around the back of a building.

The police attended and challenged a teenager at the front of the building.

He, and a second teenager, ran away.

The pair were chased by police and detained nearby.

Investigations showed that the back door of the building had been forced open and that the property had been searched.

Both teenagers were arrested and charged with burglary.
