Claremont High School Academy Trust student recognised for her charity work at The Flame Awards

A 14-year-old Kenton schoolgirl has been recognised for her charity work.
Karishma Raichada, who lives in North Wembley and attends Claremont High School Academy Trust, in Claremont Avenue, attended The Flame Awards in Manchester on Friday.
She received a special recognition award for her fundraising and charity work which has included volunteering in an orphanage in Kenya.
She was presented with the award by Denise Welch, host of ITV series Loose Women.
Karishma said: “It was an amazing experience helping others less fortunate and I enjoyed meeting so many different people who have also done amazing voluntary work.
“It was a great evening meeting famous stars such as Ryan Thomas who plays Jason Grimshaw in ITV’s Coronation Street, as well as Adam John Barton from Emmerdale, played by Adam Thomas, and some of the cast from the BBC’s Waterloo Road.”
The Flame Awards were held in association with the International Fire and Rescue Association to celebrate the efforts of British people and organisations who have made a difference to people in the UK and throughout the world.
