Harrow Borough Council gives parents the chance to give feedback about children's centres

Families are being given the chance to tell Harrow Borough Council why children’s centres are important to them.

Feedback sessions taking place in February and throughout the year will give parents the opportunity to tell councillors what matters to them most about the service.

The two and a half hour meetings will be led by parents, with parent governors will be on hand to relay information to the council.

Harrow Council’s portfolio holder for children, schools and families, Councillor Mitzi Green, said: “Children's centres play a vital role in our work to support those in need across the borough.

“We hugely value the opinion of people who use our services, which is why it is so important that parents, children, governors, staff, partner agencies and the community tell us what events, issues and changes they are being most affected by so we can deliver services as effectively as possible.”

Each of the forums will run from 9am until 11.30 am.

On February 20 one will be held at Whitefriars, in Whitefriars Avenue, Harrow, on February 22 one will take place at the Stanmore Park Centre, in William Drive, Stanmore, on April 4 one will take place at the Chandos Centre, Chandos Crescent, Edgware, and on April 5 one will take place at the Cedars Children’s Centre, in Whittlesea Road.

On May 29 there will be another forum at Whitefriars, on May 30 another at the Stanmore Park Centre, on July 30 another at the Chandos Centre, on July 31 another at Whitefriars and on August 15 another at Cedars Children’s Centre.
