The North West London NHS Hospitals Trust recognised for its low mortality rates
4:00pm Friday 25th January 2013 in News By Emma Innes
Mortality rates at The North West London Hospitals NHS trust are some of the lowest in the country, according to new government figures.
The organisation is one of only 11 out of 142 trusts in England to have a ‘lower than expected' rating.
The finding is based on data collected by the Health and Social Care Information Centre between July 2010 and June 2012.
David McVittie, chief executive of the trust, which manages Northwick Park Hospital, St Mark’s Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital, said: “We are delighted that we are among the top trusts in the country.
“Mortality rates are an important indicator of the quality of care patients receive and this is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff.”
