Pinner sees 13 per cent rise in company closures, according to Duport company formation agency

In the third quarter of 2012 134 Pinner companies closed, according to new figures.

The latest Duport Business Confidence Report showed that there were 13 per cent more business closures between July and September 2012 than during the same part of 2011.

The number of companies formed in Pinner during the time period also fell in 2012.

Between July and September 2011 169 business were formed in Pinner whereas in 2012 162 were formed.

Managing Director of, Peter Valaitis, said: “Pinner has long been thought of as one of the most affluent areas of London, but the rise in company closures shows that it is not immune to difficult economic conditions.

“However, with a high-earning population and excellent transport links to the city, I suspect company formations will rise again in the coming year.”

Duport is a company formation agency that compiles business confidence reports using data from Companies House and the Office for National Statistics.
