Since snow began falling on Friday, Harrow Borough Council has spread 362 tonnes of salt on its roads.
The council’s gritting fleet has made 11 sweeps of the borough in an attempt to keep major routes clear.
Today, many of the borough’s schools are closed as is the Bannister Sports Centre, in Uxbridge Road, Hatch End.
Harrow Leisure Centre, in Christchurch Avenue, and Hatch End Swimming Pool, in Uxbridge Road, are open and intend to remain open for the rest of the day.
All of the borough’s libraries are also open as usual.
