Snow covers Harrow causing school closures and traffic chaos

People were out in force to enjoy the snow near Lowlands Road
Up to five centimetres of snow fell in Harrow today causing chaos on the roads and multiple school closures.
Of the borough’s 67 schools 25 were closed by lunchtime and at many of those that remained open some students had to leave early.
Drivers across the borough reported difficult driving conditions and many found themselves stuck in crawling traffic.
Thus far the tubes and trains have held up well with few problems reported.
The cold snap is expected to last well into next week with snow forecast for much of the weekend.
