Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were stabbed and one “nearly died” in Edgware.

The incident happened in Watling Park at 7.20pm yesterday.

A 16-year-old boy was found suffering from stab wounds in Horsecroft Road and a second 16-year-old boy with stab wounds was found near Abbots Road.

It is believed that they were stabbed near the basketball courts in Watling Park.

Both teens were taken to a central London hospital.

One has been discharged but the other is in a critical, but stable, condition.

The suspects are believed to be a group of men who were at the scene of an altercation.

Three arrests have been made so far but investigations are continuing.

Detective Superintendent Mark Strugnell said: “This is a nasty, brutal offence where two boys were stabbed, one of which was left in a very serious critical condition and nearly died.

“Their lives may have been ruined as a consequence of their ordeal.

“We are still identifying the full circumstances of what happened and are appealing to anyone who may have seen a group of men in the park at the time of the incident.

“Please call police on 0208 733 4053 or Crimestoppers on 0500 555 111.”

I hope these 2 young men make a full recovery from their injuries, and that the people who did this are caught quickly! It is frightening how Harrow appears to be succumbing to more knife crime like other London Boroughs! Harrow times what happened to your campaign on not carrying knives?
