Elderly men taken to hospital following fire in Wembley

It took nearly an hour and a half for firefighters to get the blaze under control
Two elderly men have been taken to hospital following a house fire in Wembley.
Firefighters were called to Saint Johns Road at 1.30pm following reports that a semi detached house was on fire.
Part of the ground floor of the building was damaged and an elderly man had to be led to safety by fire crews.
He, and another elderly man, were taken to hospital by ambulance to be treated for smoke inhalation.
In total four fire engines and 20 firefighters attended the scene and the fire was brought under control by 2.50pm.
The cause is under investigation.
