A Wembley-based special constable who was killed in Kenya was in the country to carry out charity work.
Jamal Moghe, 26, who was shot and killed on Saturday, is believed to have been delivering books to schools north of Nairobi.
It is thought that he was travelling on a bus which was boarded by bandits who shot the newly married man.
Mr Moghe was a member of police staff at a west London police station as well as working as a special constable in Brent.
Ealing Borough Commander Andy Rowell said: “We were all shocked and saddened to hear of Jamal’s death.
“He was a popular member of the team at Ealing Borough, and he also chose to serve his community by volunteering as a special.
“Our thoughts are with his wife and family at this time.”
