Harrow Women’s Network is holding a seminar on Women in Public Life on January 26.
The event will take place at North Harrow Assembly Hall, in Station Road, between 3pm and 5pm.
Guests will include female school governors, magistrates, councillors and MPs.
These guests will share their experiences of public life and will hope to inspire other women to follow in their footsteps.
Maleeka Bokhari from Harrow Women’s Network said: “Only one in three councillors are women and only one in five MPs are women; the UK is ranked 56th in the world for the number of women represented in national parliaments.
“Events such as this are intended to raise awareness of the under representation of women in public life and encourage women to put themselves forward.”
