New chairman of North West London Hospitals NHS Trust appointed
3:38pm Friday 11th January 2013 in News By Emma Innes
A new chairman has been appointed for The North West London Hospitals NHS Trust.
Peter Worthington, who spent 30 years in senior management positions with natural resources companies, has been appointed to the role.
He will serve until June 30, 2014, and will receive annual remuneration of £23,366 for the post.
Mr Worthington said: “I am enthused by the challenges ahead - to lead the Trust through the final stages of merger with Ealing Hospital NHS Trust, build a new top team with the chief executive and continue to improve our partnerships with clinical commissioning groups and other local stakeholders.
“I will be getting out and about to meet staff, service users and partners as quickly as possible. As someone who cares about the NHS, I am determined that we will continue to provide high-quality services through a loyal and committed workforce while using public money wisely.”
The Trust is one of the largest combined acute and specialist Trusts in London, serving more than 500,000 people in Brent and Harrow, as well as others from all over the country.
