Gareth Thomas is concerned about the police station closures
The MP for Harrow West has spoken out to condemn the Mayor of London’s plans for the future of Harrow’s policing.
Gareth Thomas MP has said that plans to close Pinner Police Station and the police counter at the Civic Centre are “deeply worrying”.
Mr Thomas said: “The front police counter closures of Pinner Police Station and the Civic Centre are further signs at Boris Johnson is not taking Harrow’s policing needs seriously.
“With police numbers having dropped by so many at a time of growing counter about anti-social behaviour, the closure of these police stations is deeply worrying.
The announcement that 65 police front counters across London are to close was made on Wednesday.
It is part of Mr Johnson’s Police and Crime Plan for London.
