Coeliac UK's Harrow group celebrates tenth anniversary with party at Waitrose South Harrow
Coeliac UK’s Harrow group is celebrating its tenth anniversary.
The group, which organises monthly coffee and cake meetings for coeliacs, will hold a celebratory coffee morning from 10am until 11.30am tomorrow.
It will take place at the Waitrose Coffee Shop in Northolt Road, South Harrow.
Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disease caused by intolerance to gluten, the protein found in wheat, barley, rye and oats.
Coeliac UK aims to help sufferers get used to a gluten-free diet and to give advice and support to people struggling with gluten-free shopping and cooking.
Mark Brown, branch manager at Waitrose South Harrow, said: "We're pleased to support the important work that the Harrow group of Coeliac UK do and I'm very proud of the team in the Waitrose café who have hosted them over the years."
