Heathfield School musicians put on autumn concert
8:50am Thursday 22nd November 2012 in News By Emma Innes
A Pinner school’s music department is putting on an autumn term concert for anyone who wishes to attend.
This evening, orchestras and choirs from Heathfield School for Girls in Beaulieu Drive will perform a number of pieces including Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens, and Adiemus by Jenkins.
Soloists will also perform in a Stabat Mater piece at the concert which will take place at the school.
Mr McElwaine, director of music, said “I chose the Stabat Mater as it is one of the best pieces written for female voices, the Carnival piece is an opportunity for our excellent pianists to showcase their talent and the Pictures piece was chosen for its fun and variety and is a rewarding piece for our junior girls to participate in too.”
