No trace of gas leak found
GAS workers investigating the possible casues of an explosion in South Harrow on Wednesday have found no trace of a leak.
Stewart Larque, a spokesman for the National Grid, confirmed investigators had found no evidence the blast, in Stanley Road, was caused by a gas leak.
Yesterday, police investigating the explosion declared the street a crime scene, but have yet to establish what caused the blast.
The body of a man who died in the explosion was removed from the wreckage by the London Fire Brigade at around 9pm last night.
He has yet to be formally identified.
