Here is a first look at Benedict Cumberbatch rehearsing for his much-anticipated role as Hamlet.
The Sherlock star, who is juggling being a new father with his career, is preparing to return to the stage for the first time in four years to play the title role in Lyndsey Turner’s production of the Shakespeare play.
The Star Wars actor will take to the stage alongside Sian Brooke as Ophelia and Ciarán Hinds as Claudius for the iconic tragedy.
It will be performed at the Barbican for 12 weeks from August 5 to October 31.
There was a frenzy for pre-sale tickets last year and they were all quickly all snapped up.
But fear not as Sonia Friedman Productions, in partnership with Sky Art have allocated 100 tickets at £10 for every public performance of the production. These tickets will be spread throughout the auditorium totalling over 8,500 tickets during the run.
Or you will be able to see it at selected cinemas on October 15 when the performance will be broadcast live around the world as part of National Theatre Live.
