Follow the antics of Watford’s favourite girl band The Staves as they continue to charm US audiences with their blissful harmonies.

Having won over Austin Texas, sisters Emily, Camilla and Jessica Staveley-Taylor (pictured) are currently heading to Louisiana before returning home for a UK tour which runs until May 2 with a gig at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill on May 1.

Catch them while you can as they're back from over the pond to support Bon Iver’s North American Support Tour from May 21-June 8.

In the meantime, the folk trio release their stunning new EP The Motherlode. The title track opens with church organ music, which artfully blends into a guitar riff and then swells with the soaring song of the sisters, who have never sounded better vocally and are comparable to Sandy Denny at her very best.

The song speaks of mother earth and a mother’s lot and stirs the heartstrings in the same fashion as Graham Nash’s Teach Your Children.

The Motherlode is released on April 23 through Atlantic Records. For blogs on the band and the gorgeous textural video of The Motherlode go to: www.thestaves.com
