Accomplised Redbourn Folk Club regular Malcolm Hobbs will be heading up the first in a new series of gigs at the Maltings with support from New Roots 2010 finalist, Marianne Neary.

Malcolm is a solo singer who accompanies himself on bouzouki, tenor mandola and guitar. His repertoire includes traditional songs from England, Ireland and the Appalachian mountains of the United States.

In support is New Roots 2010 finalist, Marianne Neary, a singer/songwriter from Lancashire, and her band, Rebecca Burrell, flute, Patrick Beldon, guitar and Owen Woods, melodeon, who play a scintillating mix of traditional music drawn mostly from the English and Irish traditions as well as Marianne’s original songs.
