Love, Love, Love

Pinner Players Theatre Company is delighted to present its latest production, Olivier Award-winner Mike Bartlett’s Love, Love, Love. The play, which won a UK Theatre Award for Best Play in 2011, is a three-act, state-of-the-nation commentary on the baby boomer generation, and poses some challenging questions. Is this ‘never had it so good’ generation really to blame for their debt-ridden and adrift children? Or do we simply find it easier to create villains to avoid taking responsibility and control for our own lives?

Stone Cold Murder

Ruislip Dramatic Society (RDS) presents a killer of a show with its latest production, Stone Cold Murder by James Cawood, a truly gripping thriller filled with suspense and atmosphere. The play only premiered in the UK last year and will begin touring professionally in the summer, but Compass audiences will have the chance to see it this month, thanks to RDS, who have received coaching from a professional fight director to get them ready for their roles. It’s deep winter and newlyweds Robert and Olivia are settled in front of the fire in the small hotel they own, anticipating a cosy evening. There are no guests – until a rugged hiker desperately seeking shelter shows up. Then an angry former boyfriend of Olivia’s appears too – could this all just be coincidence or is something else going on?
