THE PINK PANTHER 2 (PG)
The big picture: A new case for Clouseau! Set in Paris and Rome, this sequel to the 2006 comedy hit stars Steve Martin, stepping back into the fray as the intrepid if clueless French police inspector, Jacques Clouseau. When fabulous treasures from around the world are stolen, including the priceless Pink Panther Diamond, Chief Inspector Dreyfus (John Cleese) is forced to assign Clouseau to a team of international detectives charged with catching the thief and retrieving the valuable cache. Emily Mortimer also returns, while Andy Garcia and Aishwarya Rai join the cast.

HOTEL FOR DOGS (U)
The big picture: Big family comedy for half-term. Andi (Wild Child’s Emma Roberts) and her brother Bruce (Jake T Austin), who live in a strictly no-pets household, are fast running out of ideas to keep their dog Friday under wraps. When they stumble on an abandoned hotel thatʼs already home to a couple of resourceful strays, they set about transforming it into a magical canine paradise, not only for Friday, but for every stray they can find! Now, suddenly, the out-of-work local dog catchers want to know, ʻwho let the dogs in?ʼ
