‘May is a murderous month’ according to Chipping Barnet Library and, to push this home, they are hosting a wide range of different events. The ghoulish season starts off with Murder in the Library, a classic who dunnit situation for ages seven to 12. Come along and help solve the mystery by acting as a detective and solving the crime. There is also one for the 12 to 16-year-olds, who can come dressed as their favourite mystery character and write their own crime thrillers.
There will also be special murder themed event Manga clubs and Me, Myself and I do Crime, throughout the month, and top crime writer Leigh Russell and a panel of crime writers will be discussing the genre of crime and what makes a criminally good read on Saturday, May 19 between 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Entry is free but booking is required.
The Library will be starting a new crime reading group in May for those lovers of crime novels and all things mysterious.
