All staff at Imagine are huge fans of the Starlight Walk, and the estate agent is looking for support for the event, which takes place this Saturday.

The organising committee has announced that the event has bucked the trend for charities in recent years who have found it harder to maintain support levels in this climate.

Walker numbers have actually increased from 1203 in 2010 to 1278 in 2011, and this year this is set to increase again. This despite Race for Life, also in Watford, held just one week earlier.

The local community has shown an outstanding affection for The Peace Hospice, and incredible charitable instincts, all of which is heart-warming in times when we need a few more good news stories.

At Imagine, all male staff will be marshalling and all females will be walking. It’s a great night, with a brilliant atmosphere and everyone at Imagine is looking forward to it.

For more on the charity's goals for 2012, visit its website (listed below).

A plea to female readers: have you signed up yet? If not, don’t despair, it’s not too late. You can even sign up on the night. Please do get involved even if your fundraising time is limited, as your registration fee will still make a valuable contribution.

The walk is at an earlier start time this year of 10pm, which means that those of you who’d prefer to do the six-mile walk instead of the 13 miles, might be home before midnight.
