Jason Rishover, CEO, of Heronslea Group, Hertfordshire’s leading privately owned residential developer, completed the London Marathon on Sunday for the second consecutive year. He ran to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), his chosen charity for the last two years, where 220,000 patients visit and are treated each year.

The total amount raised currently stands at £7,500 and with donations still coming in this figure is expected to reach his target of £10,000 by the end of the week. Jason comments: “I am delighted to have finished the London Marathon again and I would like to thank everyone who has shown such tremendous support and generosity, enabling me to raise much needed funds for such a worthy cause.”

This was Jason’s second London Marathon. He broke his target of 4 hours by completing the course in 3 hours 54 minutes, beating his time last year by an impressive 23 minutes. It was a very personal challenge for Jason. His niece Aimee’s life was saved at GOSH after she was born with a rare heart condition. Today Aimee is a bright, healthy 15 year old and is showing real promise as a sprinter on the athletic track.

Fundraising Manager Kathryn Cheshire, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity said of the event: “We’re really grateful to Jason for taking part in this amazing challenge. With their help we can make a real difference for patients and families from across the UK”
